Description

A contribution by Vesna Forštnerič Lesjak and Matthias Rang

The good is not found as mere intellectual insight, but through inner contemplation in the will and in the experience of “warmth”. For scientists, the question therefore arises as to how they can reach the moral impulses behind natural phenomena. As a path, Steiner’s GA 134 is named, in which a step-by-step crossing of the sense world towards the “world of wisdom” is described. This is then illustrated with Strader from the Mystery Dramas: he first recognises the Ahrimanic logic in thinking and exposes its falsity for the earthly world. Then, in feeling, he succeeds in taking a decisive step by developing soul warmth within the Ahrimanic icy cold and feeling compassion for Ahriman. Liberation in the will – as deed – however fails to occur, and is described as something that can only become real in community.
