A Narrative of the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter at the Winter Solstice 2020
Chapters12
Description
A contribution by Mary Stewart Adams
In this lecture, the star lore scholar Mary Stewart Adams conveys a narrative image of the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn at the winter solstice, as it can be understood through the rhythm of the “Five”. Why the Five? As it shows itself in the active, committed, forward-striving activity of the Representative of Humanity, and as it comes to expression geometrically in the dodecahedral form of the Foundation Stone of the Goetheanum, the number five also gives its rhythm to the Foundation Stone Meditation, to the epoch in which we find ourselves according to anthroposophy, and in the year 2020 expresses itself through the culmination of five Venus orbits since its rare transit of the Sun eight years ago.
Mary uses the rhythm of the Five to engage with the celestial phenomenon under consideration and thus to raise the narrative from our everyday experience into the mystery of the essential and yet invisible, in particular as it can be imagined through the festival cycle from Christmas 2020 to Christmas 2023.
