Development of the Stages of Knowledge of the Etheric
Living beings and natural processes develop out of the forces of the etheric. It is therefore appropriate not to assume that the etheric itself is rigidly fixed, but to describe development as part of its nature. And so it is not surprising that our knowledge of the etheric, too – looking back over the last 100 years – has passed through metamorphoses of understanding. In this contribution we will briefly characterise many of these stages of knowledge, as they can be described from the publications, and look at them in their own history of development.
